Our client had an old back door which was insecure and fitted with a cat flap, a feature they no longer wanted to keep. So, after learning of our excellent reputation locally and receiving a personal recommendation of our services, they sought us out to change their back door.
After originally deciding to swap out their back door for one of our white uPVC slimline doors, our client asked whether we could change the front door too. So, we ended up changing them both, swapping out their front door for one of our exceptional composite doors.
One of our client’s primary concerns was to modernise the front of their home and improve its look. By fitting one of our premium composite doors, we did exactly that. They feature a Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) skin, which is textured to resemble genuine wood grain. This stylish exterior was then complemented by a traditional Chrome door knocker, classic door style and a stunning Painswick finish, ensuring the door looked incredibly appealing. Opting for these particular features ensured that the new door was sympathetic to the property’s character too.
Because their hallway is very dark, they also wanted their new front door to let in plenty of light. However, when adding light, our client felt it was important that privacy would not be sacrificed as a result. Therefore, the chosen door design was one that featured a good amount of glass, plus glass side panels were also used. These areas were then fitted with London Etch glass, ensuring no peeping eyes could see into our client’s home.
The front of their home was not the only place that we brightened up, however. A large area of high-quality double glazing was incorporated into the design of the uPVC back door that we fitted, which also afforded them a lovely view into their back garden. As all our doors come fitted with a multipoint locking system and a Kitemarked cylinder lock barrel, they no longer need to worry about the back of their home being insecure either!
Prior to enlisting our services, our client liked the fact that they were able to visit our showroom, where they were able to see our products for themselves and speak to our expert team about improving their home. And after working with us, here’s what they had to say:
“Sheerwater Glass was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. Easy going and no hard sales. You were efficient and friendly. Everyone knew what they were doing and you were able to work around my working day.”

“I was overall really pleased with the work, it’s very neat and it was done really quickly with little to no inconvenience to myself. I would be happy pointing my family and friends in your direction as I was so happy with the outcome.”
